A weekend of fun and a week of not so much fun

So last Friday was the annual field trip for Head Start to Wildlife Images.  Tanya and I wanted to go, so we made arrangements to be closed for the morning and took the kids that we knew parents needed us for.  We took 2 with us and had our own, also.  Antonio and Allison met us there to help support Eli's trip and it was pouring down rain.  The WHOLE time.  But, we brought umbrellas and had proper clothing on, so it wasn't so bad.  I had fun, I think the kids had fun and we came home to dry out.  The rest of the day went good and it was the weekend to have the girls, so Nick had picked them up on his way home from work.  Saturday we got up and got ready for games.  Allison's was first, so we went to the school to watch most of hers, where Angela had to leave early to go to work and Antonio and I had to leave early to get to Eli's game that was across town.  So, Nick stayed and wrangled the girls and I took Eli to his game.  Antonio met us there and he played.  I was SOOO happy cause he had SUCH a great attitude that day and played really well!!!  The Saturday before, he cried.  The game was at 9am so we were there for warm ups at 8:30 and he was NOT happy.  He cried and threw such a fit that we had to leave.

So, in any case, we got done with Eli's game and ended up missing Emma's.  Antonio took Eli with him for his weekend visit and I went to the bank and met Nick at home.  He heated up leftover pizza for him and the girls and then we went to the new Goodwill in town.  It was pretty nice.  Only found 2 things, though.  The weather was gorgeous for the games and when we went to Goodwill, it had gotten cold and started raining.  Boo.

We went to Wal Mart to grab a few things and then went home.  I made nachos for dinner and we watched How Do You Know.  I wasn't thrilled with the movie...thought it could be a lot better considering the really good people it had in it.

Sunday I decided I was tired of our small, cluttered house and went through everything in the laundry room.  The laundry room was the only room in the house that Nick's parents left stuff in and it was the first time I had touched anything in there since they moved in September.  We tossed everything that we didn't need or didn't know what it was and made a heaping laundry basket of things to give away on freecycle.  We made good progress that day.  Now to move on to a different room in the house! LOL

I spent pretty much all day on the spring cleaning and was pretty well occupied.  Around 2 we decided to load up a cabinet that I had been promising Tanya for awhile and deliver it.  Only, I realized why she hadn't gotten it yet.  Nick dropped the first one and broke it, so we had to load up the one that I was originally gonna keep and give her that one.  That's the day we acquired our "dinosaur".  He's a bearded dragon named Draco and he was Tanya's oldest daughter's but she doesn't have the time or interest to take care of him and we offered to take him and care for him.  So out moved the cabinet and in moved the lizard.

We then decided to go dresser shopping.  Yay.  Dropped Alli off with Antonio, picked up Emma's back pack, went to dinner at Applebee's and picked up Devin and Brandon.  We went home and Nick put the dresser together until 10:00.

Emma chose to stay with us for the week, so I got the kids up and ready for school on Monday.  Dropped them all off, went to work, chatted, Tanya had to take Katie clothes at school on her way to take Paige to the doctor, I made the daycare kids lunch and laid they all down.  I walked into the living room to put Kacen to sleep and doubled over in pain and started crying...I called the OB office and talked to a nurse who told me to go to the ER.  Who are they kidding?  I didn't have time to go to the hospital!  I sat around and tried to let it pass.  I called Nick, called Tanya, Tanya came home, waited some more and finally went around 5.  I was there until 8 and they assume I had a cyst rupture on my left ovary.  It was nearly 4 cm big so they don't know if it just got too big or if it twisted and popped.  Tanya went and picked up Nick and brought him to get me and the car.  I went home in a lot of pain and doped up on 2 percocet.  I went to bed and hardly slept. 

Nick stayed home with me on Tuesday to take care of me and it was hit and miss, but he tried his best. LOL  He ended up weed eating the yard (which I wasn't going to do, anyway) and I ended up making dinner (which he was supposed to do).
